Retroeighties

I've had bangs my whole life. I'm just a bang girl. I don't have a big forehead so I have bangs to cover them up I just think I look better with bangs. Don't ask me. Two summers ago I spent so much time in the pool that I kept pinning them back because once you get your bangs wet you can't just make them look normal again unless they are clean so pinning them back just worked. Of course when I spent 4 months with them pinned back they started to grow out and soon they were down to my chin so I decided I was going to grow those babies out. I started buying cute pins, like the ones available at Retroeighties, and that helped me feel stylish and cute.

I found these neat wood beaded pins that are absolutely adorable. These come in a set of 2 and are made from brown wood rice beads. They would also most likely blend in with any hair color. The best part about them is that you can wear them with just about anything you wear. They are very versatile!

I Want: Black LEGO Brick Cufflinks

My husband (who is 29) loves LEGOS and asks for them every year for Christmas, his birthday, Valentine’s Day and any other gift-giving day. How perfect, then, are these Black LEGO Brick Cufflinks from Retro Classy Cufflinks for him? They come in a variety of colors, but I think the black would look classiest with a white shirt.

Cozy Moments

I've decided to take the next few days off from working to spend time with the family. Today we're baking pumpkin cookies just for fun because the kids only have a 1/2 day and when I asked them what they wanted to bake they said pumpkin cookies. I've never baked pumpkin cookies so for them to insist on these was a little strange for me. I did look up a recipe and the 1st batch is out of the oven and they turned out good! Can't wait to put the frosting on them. They smell delightful! In honor of pumpkin and all things that are pumpkin I went on a hunt for other pumpkin goodness.

At Cozy Moments you'll find yourself drooling over their Pumpkin Cheesecake goat's milk soap. Smooth and silky, this fragrance blends mouth-watering creamy pumpkin, subtle spices, vanilla, and cream cheese with a hint of graham cracker crust. Turbinado sugar gently sprinkled on top finishes off the bar.

I'll take 4 of these please!

Playing with Fiber is in the Box!

One of my favorite items from this month’s TLBB was the tiny magnet I received from Playing with Fiber. I think I have already established that I am a magnet horder, so, of course, I would go gaga over a magnet. But this magnet was extra cute for some reason. I was pleased to see that sets of magnets are available in their Etsy shop. I especially like the Vintage Food Label set.

Sugarcandie Beauty Bar Winner

Congrats Moonlight Eternal! You are the winner of our latest giveaway from my favorite scrub company, Sugarcandie Beauty Bar! Contact me with your address so that I can forward it on to the powers that be!

Be sure to stay tuned Friday for an amazing Black Friday sale all weekend long from this particular business. You won't want to miss this!

Helter Braegen

I'm writing about this next handmade business with my little brother Rob in mind. At Helter Braegen you'll find a large variety of jewelry and custom plugs for your ears.

The plugs come in a variety of sizes for those of you with stretched ears so make sure you read the descriptions carefully when you are ordering. The best part about the whole shop is that you can send the designer your own custom art work via email and he will create a picture for your plugs based on the art you send. Then you can wear you plugs proud and show off all your own designs as well!

Each set takes about 10 days to complete so don't expect them to be magically created over night. Quality takes time!

Michael Arras

For nearly a year and a half I've been following designer Michael Arras and his wonderful creations. In particular, I'm absolutely head over heels for his amazing tables. If I had a load of cash and a big house to decorate I'd be purchasing coffee tables by the truck load to furnish my home.

These small cinnamon red circle coffee tables cost $399 each which is well above what I can afford to spend but that doesn't mean I can't show them off to you! These one-of-a-kind coffee tables are made by joining together small pieces of high-grade birch plywood into one whole table. Each segment is connected to the others with strong mortise-and-tenon joints. The table top looks fragile but it's solid. Cups won't fall into the cracks, but slide easily across the table.

They can be stained in different colors so if cinnamon red isn't your thing you can specify at checkout.

3 Things I Would Buy From: Beautiful Skin

Leather accessories last, but sometimes they are just plain boring. Beautiful Skin, however, has some fun and funky leather goods:

LoveLeeSoaps

Half of my household is sick. That's why I didn't blog this morning. I've infected everyone I think. I was up most of the night taking care of a throwing up child and because of that when he laid down today I passed out too.

Of course I was curious what sort of sick themed items I could find on Etsy this evening when I did finally find time to blog and I found some seriously funny soaps from LoveLeeSoaps that you should enjoy. These Happy Pill soaps will help anyone who's having a rough day instantly feel better. They are scented in caramel apple and sure to make you smile after taking your first whiff of them.

Most of the soaps from LoveLeeSoaps make me smile. There's quite the variety!

I Want: Whats Up Your Sleeve Fabric Coffee Sleeve Eiffel Tower

Coffee sleeves from coffee shops are so boring, so What’s Up Your Sleeve offers sleeves that will jazz up your morning java. Plus, they are reusable, which means they are much more environmentally friendly. What could be better for your morning French roast than this Eiffel Tower Fabric Coffee Sleeve?

Paper Acorn

Only a few more days until turkey goodness. It's not too late to decorate and find all the last minute touches that can be added to your table. Thankfully for you, you have me! I do find the cutest handmade stuff on the web and even better I find stuff that you can purchase today and hopefully receive by the time it's time to set your Thanksgiving dinner table.

At Paper Acorn pretty amazing decorating items but the one item I found most useful to show off to you is their complete Autumn Party set. Each set serves 12 people so you don't have to worry about not having enough items for everyone who's invited to your home. It includes two 8-foot maple leaf paper garlands, 12 place cards with yellow and orange maple leaves, and 12 paper napkin rings in orange, brown and burgundy. It's all very swoon worthy!

Maria Burgos Jewelry Design

Alas, the day has arrived my little Twihards. I purchased my twickets a week ago for the twins and I and you better believe we'll be there early and ready to submerse ourselves in New Moon goodness. I can't decide who's more excited though, the twins or I. I woke up this morning and was immediately reminded by both of them, separately, that today was the big day. I was also reminded of how terrible I am and how we're sneaking our drinks and candy into the theater. Bad mom.

In honor of New Moon I found a super cool ring from Maria Burgos Jewelry Design. The magical glow of this rainbow moonstone is captured in this bezel set Sterling silver ring. I adore it and wish I could see it up close. The ring is made to order so make sure you put your ring size in the comments at checkout in order to get one that fits you specifically.

Ricki’s Pick of the Week: Purifying Cleanser from ClariSEA

Through a post last month on the Bath and Body Find forums, I discovered that ClariSEA was giving samples away to Facebook fans. In need of a new facial scrub, I thought I would try the Purifying Cleanser. I am glad I did! It is a very fine salt scrub perfect for acne prone facial skin. It feels good rubbing it in and it rinses clean, leaving my face feeling refreshed. I have been using it twice a week for the past two weeks, and my acne does seem to have lessened.

Gooma's Goodies

Yep, I'm going there. I'm terrible. I have probably helped you all to gain 10 lbs just this week alone. Forgive me? If I see a mass influx of unfollowers to this wonderful blog here I'll start refraining from posting stuff like this, but until then the mouth watering goodies are going to be posted.. so there!

At Gooma's Goodies there's cheesecake that leaves me singing and wishing for more then just a view. I want a taste! It's only 10 in the morning and this pumpkin toffee cheesecake will probably be on my mind all day.

Man, I'm in trouble.

Personalized Pewter

As I've aged I've grown more and more attached to a good bottle of wine. I'm a white wine girl. What about you? I've also become increasingly more interested in collecting great bottles of wine too. That's the hostess in me. Now, I just need to find myself a huge open house that's great for entertaining and a good man that wants to be my partner in crime and I'll be all set!

At Personalized Pewter they have these amazing pewter wine racks. It holds up to nine bottles of wine and can be engraved at no extra charge. I'm pretty much head over heels about it. This would make an excellent Christmas gift or wedding gift. I want it!

Now, I just need to find a house to put this baby in.

Theme: Potatoes

I thought I would stick with my Thanksgiving food theme and search for a hard one: potatoes!:

Little Black Box Subscription Service

Many of you purchase a Little Black Box every single month. Some of you have even contact me to purchase a subscription. I have a handful of you that have done this and I love that service because I just automatically mail your box out to you each month and there's hassle for you.

The last time I offered this was last August. I'm back this month to offer you a special that is good until December 31st. You can read about the subscription service on the site! I look forward to sending handmade goodness to your home each and every month!

Take advantage of this now!

Sophia's

I'm not sure why suddenly I've been writing about food. Maybe because suddenly all the food is themed and delicious and I want it so badly. Perhaps it's because I've spent the last year peeling off the pounds and now I'm about to gain it all back? Gosh! I hope not!

The best part about this time of the year is all the pumpkin and peppermint goodness for sale! At Sophia's you can purchase some of this goodness. There's all sort of different comfort food that is absolutely perfect for this time of year. However, I have my eye on their peppermint bark.

Tell me that doesn't look delightful. I dare you!

Kristy's Lovely Lathers

I've been following Kristy's Lovely Lathers for nearly a year and a half now and first wrote about them in probably June or July of last year. I was floored by how beautiful the soaps were and recently I stumbled upon the Etsy shop again and there was more cool stuff for sale so I wanted to show off these again.

The most recent soaps that are for sale are sort of space age looking. I'm always impressed when I take a peek. These ones have these giant balls inside of the soap loaf so when it was cut there's big round circles in your bar of soaps. The colors are also bright and neon. I don't know, I mean they are so gift worthy and I'm not sure I'd want to use them if I were to purchase them. Sad, right?

Take a look!

Underglass is in the Box!

I was lucky enough to get a sample from Underglass is both this month’s and last month’s TLBB. These pendants are gorgeous! The colors are vivid and the designs are very unique. Even though the pieces stand out, I know I have a lot that I can wear them with. Looking at the etsy shop, I see a pair of earrings that I love: Specimen Series/Dragonfly 1.

Sugarcandie Beauty Bar Giveaway

Yesterday I had the pleasure of adding this business to my handmade wishlist this for the holiday shopping season and today I have the pleasure of giving away one of their yummy scrubs to one lucky blog reader.

Sugarcandie Beauty Bar is MY personal favorite sugar scrub company on the net right now. No one can beat them. They are by far the best that I've tried so far and their customer service is top notch.

Today we're giving away a Fa La La Frosting Sugar Scrub. It's described as being a jolly rich indulgent sweet french vanilla frosting swirled with vanilla cream frosting touched with sweet honey drizzles. Um, yes please!

To enter this giveaway you must follow my blog. Over on the left hand column there's a place for you to follow. Get moving! You must also comment here after taking a look at the Sugarcandie Beauty Bar website and tell me which other scent is also calling your name. You never know.. they might surprise you with a sample of that scent too!

This contest ends Friday!

Hattie Rex

Because so many of us will be opening our homes to strangers.. err.. loved ones over the next few weeks I think it's only appropriate that I offer you something that will keep everyone swine free. Well, I can't guarantee that you won't be swineballed by your loved ones but I can help make precautions.

At Hattie Rex you can purchase winidentifiers. Winidentifiers? Say what? Have you ever used one of those wine charms to ID your wine at a party, then forgot if you had the orange bead or the yellow one? Or the heart charm or the star? These personalized wine charms solve the problem. Unless, of course, you forget your name. Then you know you've had way too much to drink!

All you have to do is make sure that you find which listing has the number of charms you want to purchase and then make sure in the notes at checkout that you list what you want your charms to say and you're set to go! Great hosting idea!

The Rustic Cabin

Last night I was surfing about Etsy checking stuff out and I found the most mouth watering dessert pretty much ever for this time of year. I posted about it on Facebook and everyone agreed with me and a few seconds later someone bought it.

At the Rustic Cabin you can purchase this pumpkin roll today for your own Thanksgiving get together. Too bad shipping is $15 otherwise I would have purchased the newly listed one in a heart beat! The pumpkin roll is made out of moist pumpkin bread with a delightful cream cheese filling rolled up and ready to impress anyone. Then it's sprinkled with powdered sugar and packaged in a gift box which is also perfect for giving.

The best part about the whole thing is that it's shipped overnight so once it's been sent you'll get it the very next day. I want a piece of this now!

3 Things I Would Buy From: Christine Ferrari

I love jewelry made from lampwork beads, and Christine Ferrari has an amazing selection:

My Handmade Wishlist

I was meaning to do this last week but as some of you are aware I was on my death bed.. ok not really but in my book double ear infections and strep throat when you're told is just the flu and to rest it off is death. Thankfully, I followed my gut and got antibiotics by Wednesday.

Anyhoo, I wanted to do my handmade wishlist. Things I want for Christmas that are readily available for sale on Etsy! I've already been getting asked what I want so I'm going to shout it from the roof tops now and tell everyone what I want and direct everybody to my own personal list right here. There's only one non-handmade item I want and that's the Flip but I doubt I'll be finding one of those under the tree from Santa so here it is!

1) Turquoise Drop Earrings from Otis B Jewelry $20 plus s/h I'm a turquoise freak as well all now and these will go perfect with nearly anything I wear.

2) Soaps from Intentions starting at $6 each plus s/h I've been dying to snag a few of these delicious looking soaps. They would make an excellent stocking stuffer. Personally, I want to try the candy cane, saucy apple, pink sugar, and mint fields scents.

3) Tile Coasters from the Little Coaster Gnome $12.50 plus s/h for 4 coasters. Again, these would make a great stocking stuffer. There's so many different prints to choose from! Anything girly or in earth tones would be perfect for me. The cupcake ones are just too cute!

4) Soy Candle Gift Set from Southern Alchemy $23 plus s/h for three - 13oz jar candles. Such a steal and great packaging too. I've been dying to try this company and now is my chance! I'd take mine scented in Berry Creme' Brulee, Orange Chiffon Cake, and Coconut Cream Pie. Yum!

5) Giant blue mug from Karin Lorenc $22 plus s/h. This mug holds 24oz and is exactly what I've been looking for. I've been dying for a piece from Karin Lorenc too so the fact that I found this dreamy mug makes me more then happy.

6) Wine stopper from Prizmatic Art $22 plus s/h. I'm a big wino. I've had my eye on these wine bottle stoppers for some time now and I just love dichronic glass so for me this would be a perfect gift. I might even purchase one of these nifty little things for a gift exchange as a girl never says no to a good bottle of wine.

7) Cupcake cookie jar from Fruit Fly $59.99 plus s/h. Ok, so the truth is that I've watching these cookie jars for almost 2 years now. I want one badly. I've never had the heart to spend that much money on one though. This would be one of those gifts that would probably make me spin in circles and clap my hands like a crazy person if I got. It's just that cool.

8) Geranium Julep Quilt from Beach Peas Quilts for $150 plus s/h. I've always wanted a quilt but they are so expensive because of how much time and energy is poured into creating them. I found a cool throw quilt that I adore and this would make an excellent gift idea.

9) Mosaic picture frame from TRWmosaics for $49 plus s/h. I'm a lover of bright and color stuff and a girl can never have too many cool picture frames. I think this one is pretty cool and I'd love to own something special like it.

10) Sugar scrubs from Sugarcandie Beauty Bar starting at $8 plus s/h. My most favorite sugar scrub company on the net right now hands down. I love their scent combos. I love practically everything. Any foody scents will make me happy! I especially like their 2 for Tuesday's special - if you order on Tuesday and put "2 for Tuesday" in the notes at checkout they automatically double your order.

I Want: Owl iPhone Case

If I had an iPhone, or if my cell was the size of an iPhone, I would want this cute Owl iPhone Case. Rutik has these owls in many colors, but I like the orange one because it looks the most like an owl (although I have never seen an orange owl). I also really did that striped lining.

Ricki’s Pick of the Week: Lilac Soap from Angelic Soaps and Gifts

In last month’s TLBB, I received a generously sized sample of Lilac Soap from Angelic Soaps and Gifts. I love the scent of lilac, which is a good thing since this little chunk of soap was highly scented. The soap was also filled with bits of oatmeal, which is great for the skin. However, the thing I liked best is how well it lathered – and fast too! If I should ever run out of soap, I know who I will be ordering from.

Whiff and Sniff Candles Giveaway

I have risen from my grave.. err bed to make sure that you know that today over on Tip Junkie we have a giveaway going on valued at $40! Check it out!

Theme: Cranberries

Cranberries are in season. This tart little berry is a holiday staple at Thanksgiving, but where on Etsy can you find tributes to this little red fruit?:
